Three Common Coaching Myths

Without a doubt, coaching is a critical tool for managers and one that the best in the business have mastered. Coaching is also an area that is frequently misunderstood. Effective coaching establishes a solid foundation of skill sets necessary for sales professionals to develop and improve performance.

Some managers who feel their sales teams don't require coaching may believe one of these common myths:

  1. The sales person already knows how to sell their products.
  2. There is nothing new to selling.
  3. Believing that having experienced sales professionals is the same as having trained sales people
